Linear Brushless Series Drives

Introducing Glentek’s next-generation linear servo drives/amplifiers, engineered with a true Class AB output stage that delivers
high efficiency, ultra-low noise, zero crossover distortion, and high current loop bandwidths of up to 15 kHz (load-dependent).
These drives are available in three standard mechanical configurations: Module (DC input), Standalone (AC input), and Multi-axis
(2- and 4-axis, AC input). They support a wide range of feedback devices and provide continuous power output up to 1500 W,
with peak power capability up to 4000 W.
In addition to supporting all standard industry command and control modes, these linear drives uniquely accept motion
commands over both CANopen and EtherCAT communication protocols.
Designed for high-performance motion control applications, Glentek’s linear drives deliver exceptional precision, dynamic
response, and system flexibility—setting a new benchmark in accuracy, reliability, and overall performance.

Here are some key featurers:

High-Speed Current Loop Performance

  • Nominal 6–10 kHz current loop bandwidth depending on motor inductance
  • Bandwidth capability up to 15 kHz with factory tuning and optimized motor matching for maximum performance

True Linear Class AB Output Stage

  • Provides optimal efficiency with zero crossover distortion
  • Delivers exceptional bandwidth, smooth operation, and ultra-quiet performance

Ultra-Low Current Drift

  • Maintains precise current control with minimal variation due to temperature changes, improving system stability and accuracy

Advanced Safe Operation Area (SOA) Protection

  • Continuously monitors current, voltage, and temperature in real time
  • Protects output devices while ensuring reliable operation under demanding conditions

Advanced Filtering Capability

  • Parametric filtering enables engineers to eliminate unwanted mechanical resonance and improve system performance

Note: Voice coil and DC brush modes are also available upon request.

Performance
Bandwidth All servo drives have a nominal 6-10 kHz current loop bandwidth which varies with the motor inductance.
Bandwidth up to 15 kHz is possible with factory tuning and motor inductance.
Linear output stage True Class AB power stage provides optimal efficiency, zero crossover distortion, and high bandwidth.
Safe Operation Area (SOA) Advanced SOA algorithm protects the output devices by continually monitoring current, voltage, and
temperature in real time.
Hybrid analog/ digital tuning The current loop is analog and tuned through component selection and jumpers. Velocity and position loops are
tuned digitally.
Regulatory
RoHS Compliant RoHS compliance optional.
CE Marked All servo drives are CE marked.
Feedback
Encoder feedback Accepts quadrature feedback up to 40 MHz (10 MHz per channel). By special request only, quadrature
feedback up to 100 MHz (25 MHz per channel) may be possible. Absolute serial encoder (BiSS, EnDat,
and T-Format). Analog Sin/Cos encoder.
Two feedback devices We can accept any of the feedback devices listed above plus an additional incremental encoder.
I/O
Programmable Functions Analog signal command, +/- limits, inhibit/enable, fault, reset, motor temperature, encoder and step &
direction.
Build
Status indicator Two 8-segment displays indicates drive status and diagnostics.
Non-volatile memory All parameters are stored in non-volatile memory for reliable start up. Note: Available upon request, up
to 16 different configurations can be stored in the drives’s non-volatile memory.
Manual reset A push button reset is available to reset a fault.
Industry standard mounting Available in a standard heatsink module, large heatsink module w/fan and cover or a 2-axis chassis version. Note: Glentek offers custom mounting configurations to meet virtually any requirement.
Ergonomic Design Easy access to connections, adjustments and test points.
SMT construction Provides ultra compact size, cost competitive package and high reliability.
